Responsibilities

  • Shipping and receiving of parts, inventory, and quality control.
  • Pulling and processing of all orders, interfacing with sales or packaging, and preparing for shipping.
  • Ensuring inventory counts and movement of parts are accurate.
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Examining shipments for defective products or questionable conditions.
  • Comparing shipment contents with purchase orders, bill of ladings, and/or invoices to verify accuracy.
  • Recording shipment data, such as weight, charges, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Delivery and/or pick-up of parts to customers, satellite stores, and vendors (route ranges from 50-100 miles round trip per day, home every night).
  • Pick-up and/or delivery of customer trucks.
  • Logging deliveries and pick-ups on a day-to-day basis.
  • Maintaining good customer relations by inspecting all work performed by the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Driver's License.
