Parts Delivery Driver
About the role
Summit Truck Group in West Plains, Missouri is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working, customer-oriented Parts Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering customer parts with excellent service, maintaining inventory control, and fostering relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper items are pulled for delivery orders.
- Properly load orders into the delivery vehicle.
- Deliver parts to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain the proper condition of the delivery vehicle and notify supervisors of any needed repairs.
- Verify orders for correct pulls.
- Ensure cores are returned for credit.
- Return incorrectly ordered parts.
- Stock shelves as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
- Ensure orders are delivered on time and are accurate before delivery.
- Quickly resolve any erroneous parts deliveries.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Forklift certified.
- Some delivery experience is preferred.
- General knowledge of the trucking industry is helpful.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- General understanding of inventory management.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
