Essential Duties
- Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
- Check with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
- Verify that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
- Verify parts on customer invoice match delivery.
- Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups.
- Obtain recipient’s signature on each delivery entry.
- Unload truck each night.
- Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
- Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
- Advise parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
- Ask customers at each stop if they have anything to return including any core inventory.
- Pull parts for delivery routes and load trucks/vans for deliveries.
- Assist with shipping/receiving as needed.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively with customers or other employees.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Abilities
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
