Parts Delivery Driver - Anchorage, AK

About the role

The Parts Delivery Driver position is available at the Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) location in Anchorage, AK. GTC is part of an expanded network of 19 dealerships serving the Pacific Northwest, offering services including sales, financing, insurance, and truck servicing for medium and heavy-duty applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts to customers from the vehicle to designated areas.
• Adhere to company safe driving policies at all times.
• Assist with pulling customer orders when requested.
• Keep accurate log of daily deliveries using tablets and/or computer keyboard.
• Provide communication to the parts department regarding customer needs and returns.
• Help in the warehouse as needed, operate a fork-lift occasionally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license, insurable, and clean driving record.
• Ability to drive Sprinter vans and pick-ups.
• Basic computer skills to input data into parts systems.

Skills

• Ability to drive Sprinter vans, pick-ups.
• Ability to type and use computer tablet and/or keyboard.
• Ability to send and receive calls and data via a smartphone.

Job Conditions

• Physical Demands: Requires repetitive bending, frequent lifting up to or in excess of 75 lbs., sitting, standing, reaching, crawling, stretching. Must be able to use both hands and feet to operate vehicles.
• Environmental Demands: Mostly indoor and outdoor in seasonal weather conditions. Some noise while working around operation departments.
• Use of Company-Provided Personal Protective Equipment: May be required.

Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM

Job Type

Safety-sensitive position. Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required. Motor vehicle records check is also required for positions with driving responsibilities.
