Parts Counter - Worthington, MN

C & B Operations, with 38 John Deere dealerships across 6 states, is seeking a Parts Specialist in Worthington, MN.

About the role

This position is responsible for selling, receiving, and delivering parts and accessories in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a positive and enthusiastic disposition, and the potential for outside sales development. Prior sales experience and John Deere equipment knowledge are a plus. Participation in an on-call rotation during seasonal hours is expected.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and sells products and/or services on and off-site to meet customer needs
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
• Verifies receiving of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
• Assists in keeping the parts department clean and orderly
• Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
• Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Ability to meet physical demands (e.g., sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling)
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Basic parts and machinery knowledge
• Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Forklift operation experience preferred
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check
