Position Overview

The company is seeking a Parts Counter Clerk for its Swansea, IL location. This full‑time inside sales role assists customers with parts inquiries and works with outside parts sales representatives for parts ordering.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer parts or information requests quickly.
• Communicate with customers when a back order will occur and offer alternatives.
• Determine availability and price information and document it as necessary.
• Provide parts to customers from stock, procure locally, or create a parts order as directed.
• Monitor the status of customer orders, advise of problems, and notify customers upon arrival.
• Maintain inventory control.
• Load and unload freight with a forklift.
• Ship and accept freight from motor carriers, UPS, or FedEx.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Experience in a parts department.
• Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive or truck mechanics.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 25–50 pounds.
