Parts Counter Associate

About the role

As a Parts Counter Associate, you are directly responsible for processing and locating unit parts for internal and external customers. You will enhance the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing work that meets and exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Process and locate unit parts for internal and external customers.
• Verify part numbers in the appropriate books via electronic records to ensure accuracy.
• Perform cycle counts and record data; report any variances to management.
• Monitor inventory levels and research any data inconsistencies.
• Assist service shop and mobile technicians in identifying parts necessary for repairs.
• Track daily use of parts and receiving of orders.
• Create Purchase Orders (POs) for weekly stock orders and report to the manager.
• Nurture and maintain relationships with the company's vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain appropriate inventory readiness and warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Ensure shop and mobile trucks are properly stocked and remove obsolete parts as deemed necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailer parts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
