About the role
The parts coordinator oversees parts ordering, receiving, cataloging, inventory management, and reconciliation at a single location. They process Purchase Orders (POs) and vendor payment requests while ensuring the right part is sourced from the right vendor and maintaining inventory levels to maximize customer uptime.
Responsibilities
- Execute parts inventory management processes including physical inventory, ordering, receiving, coordinating parts pickup and delivery, stocking inventory, processing invoices, maintaining records and statistics, managing parts obsolescence, shipping warranty and parts returns to vendors, and parts room organization and cleanliness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Parts inventory experience with automotive, heavy-duty trucks, or heavy-duty equipment parts.
- H.S. Diploma/GED, with 2 years or more in inventory and parts administration/clerical functions preferred.
- Strong computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing software packages.
