Parts Clerk

Department: Shop • Reports to: President/Service Manager • Full-Time

About the role

Assemble, repair, and maintain agricultural, lawn, and garden equipment. Assist other shop personnel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality work as assigned by service manager in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform small and large engine maintenance, welding, fabricating, hydraulic repair, and mechanical work as required by the service order or contract.
• Repair sprayers, planters, irrigation reels, trucks, mowers, and pumps.
• Assemble new equipment and set up for sale or display.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding equipment issues and answer service-related questions from customers courteously and professionally.
• Complete all required paperwork, work orders, and time tickets accurately and on time.
• Assist coworkers when required.
• Keep updated on job knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities.
• Maintain all company tools and equipment.
• Exhibit personal and professional integrity at all times.
• Create and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience with small engine maintenance (1 year required).
• Briggs & Stratton certified mechanic preferred but not required.
• Basic electrical knowledge in AC & DC circuits and ability to use a voltmeter.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
• Valid driver’s license and own form of transportation.
• Reliable commute or plan to relocate to Curtice, OH 43412 before starting work (preferred).

Pay

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on experience

Schedule

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime as needed
• Weekends as needed
