Business Description

ITW Shakeproof supplies cold headed & metal stamped fasteners totaling approximately $140M in revenue annually. Manufacturing/warehouse locations include Elgin IL, Machesney Park IL, Watertown, WI, Milwaukee, WI, Broadview, IL, and Iron Ridge, WI. We serve major OEMs and their tier suppliers directly and through distribution channels in the industrial market.

Position Summary

To assure the “in process” product quality meets the specifications of the blueprint, per ITW customer standards.

Essential Functions

• Perform quality checks and document (where applicable), using simple gauges, precision measuring devices and visual inspection.
• Perform safety checks to ensure safety devices are on and in working order (guarding and all safety equipment).
• Use proper Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
• Manually handle parts from work-in-process containers to shipping containers.
• Move containers as required using pallet jacks and/or fork trucks.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records (route sheets and count sheets).
• Clean equipment and keep work area neat and orderly.
• Read and understand blueprints

Required Skill, Education And Experience

• Basic reading/writing/math skills
• Mechanical ability and knowledge of tools and machinery preferred
• Ability to focus and prioritize task and objectives
• Good communication skills
• Ability to lift/pull up to forty (40) pounds
• Knowledge of use of measuring devices, blueprints and drawings preferred

Compensation Information

$21-$22 per hour
