Parts Back Counterperson - Fairbanks, AK

About the role

TrailerCraft in Fairbanks, AK is seeking a Parts Back Counterperson to assist technicians and other internal customers in a professional manner. The role involves accurately processing orders, coordinating product pulls, and fulfilling customer transportation needs.

Responsibilities

• Aid technicians and internal customers with parts selection for repairs.
• Accurately process orders in the system and coordinate product shipments or deliveries.
• Manage inventory, cycle counts, and freight operations.
• Keep accurate records of repair orders, invoices, and special order parts.
• Follow up on back-ordered parts and issue purchase orders as needed.
• Provide price quotes, availability, and other information to technicians and managers.
• Stay updated on warranty periods and product updates.
• Answer phones, providing price quotes and other information when possible.
• Ensure counter areas are clean and organized.
• Occasionally cover duties at the parts front counter during after-hours shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to operate a computer and have forklift certification.
• Two to three years of warehouse experience preferred, with previous customer service experience preferred.
