Parts Associate – Marine Diesel & Power Systems

Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with ordering, receiving, and tracking parts from multiple manufacturers
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform periodic inventory audits
- Research and identify parts for service work, customer orders, and quotations
- Aid in preparing estimates and quotes for repair and maintenance projects
- Work directly with walk-in, phone, and email customers
- Process warranty documentation and understand manufacturer warranty procedures
- Cook with Operations and Service teams to ensure timely parts delivery for jobs
- Prepare and provide service reports, fluid sample documentation, and related customer paperwork
- Maintain special tool inventory and manage tool checkout procedures
- Prepare shipments via UPS, FedEx, motor freight, and international carriers
- Pick up and deliver parts as needed using company vehicles
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a parts, warehouse, inventory, or service support role
- Experience researching and ordering marine, diesel, automotive, industrial, or heavy equipment parts
- Forklift experience required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive company vehicles for parts pickup and delivery
- Experience with inventory management and cycle counts
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, freight shipments, and receiving procedures
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory/order management software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Marine, diesel engine, heavy equipment, or industrial parts experience
- Experience with Caterpillar, Cummins, John Deere, Volvo Penta, MAN, Scania, Northern Lights, or Kohler products
- Experience working in the marine industry
- Knowledge of warranty administration and service department operations
