Parts associate
About the role
A Parts associate has excellent attention to detail and is responsible for managing inventory. They ensure that parts or supplies needed for production are available for team members. To be successful as a Parts associate, you must be highly organized.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate the needs of production workers and ensure that all materials needed for production are provided.
- Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments
- Guarantee all parts are properly tagged
- Work closely with service manager and body shop manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed
- Provide technical assistance when necessary
- Follow safety requirements
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in parts dept
- Technical automotive knowledge
- Management experience and skills
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills
- Basic understanding of inventory and reporting
