Parts and Service Operations Manager - Lift Truck

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises employees on the administration team.
• Interviews, hires, trains, and disciplines employees.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work.
• Appraises performance.
• Addresses complaints and resolves problems.

Job Duties

• Answers customer requests for service in a timely manner.
• Assists Product Support Manager in establishing annual goals and objectives.
• Ensures warranty decisions are made promptly using established guidelines.
• Conducts quarterly meetings with Service Managers.
• Assists in resolving customer issues.
• Reviews service reports carefully to insure accuracy and complete information.
• Advises Product Support Manager of corrective action taken.
• Makes recommendations for improving service department policies and procedures.
• Monitors progress of each branch monthly and counsel service managers accordingly.
• Oversees annual establishment of department service budgets.
• Oversees bi-annual audits to be performed at each branch to ensure compliance and reported to General Parts Manager.
• Assists in maintaining a safe work environment as it relates to the service department.

Supervisory Responsibilities (Parts Department)

• Assists Parts Managers in establishing annual goals and objectives.
• Prepares progress reports to be reported to General Parts Manager quarterly.
• Oversees annual establishment of department parts budget.
• Makes recommendations for improving parts department policies and procedures.
• Monitors progress of each branch monthly and counsel parts managers accordingly.
• Handles bi-annual audits to be performed at each branch to ensure compliance and reported to General Parts Manager.
• Assists in resolving customer issues.
• Assists product support in establishing effective marketing programs.
• Advises Product Support Manager of corrective action taken.
