Overview

MCCandless Truck Center is a leading Commercial Truck Sales & Leasing dealership in the Las Vegas area. The Parts Advisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a well-organized and efficient parts department, supporting sales, and fostering strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support parts sales to both external and internal customers.
  • Contribute to the development of customer relationships through excellent customer service.
  • Ensure the availability of the right parts at the right time for customers.
  • Contribute to the running of a well-organized and cost-efficient parts operations, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and meeting customer needs.
  • Participate in and contribute to the parts department culture by embracing acceptance, teamwork, and professional development.

General Knowledge & Skills

  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business issues, processes, and outcomes to maintain and enhance business performance.
  • Safety & Health: Demonstrating understanding of safety and health policies, creating and safeguarding a healthy, safe, and sustainable work environment.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with diverse audiences, promoting dialogue and building consensus, and collaborating across teams.
  • Products and Services: Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of International and IC Bus products and services necessary for performing duties and tasks, and understanding their value proposition.
  • Customer Understanding & Focus: Demonstrating a strong grasp of customer industries, operations, and business drivers, providing service excellence, and offering tailored solutions to optimize customer profitability.
  • Using Information Technology: Utilizing software and information technology to accomplish work tasks.
  • Initiative: Dealing with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing opportunities, and focusing on addressing current issues.
  • Resource Management: Demonstrating effort, willingness, and ambition to achieve desired results, meeting objectives, responding proactively to avoid disappointing results, and exploring methods for working more efficiently and effectively.
  • Problem Solving: Identifying and solving standard problems, and effectively escalating non-standard problems to appropriate management.

Desired Education & Experience

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Technical experience.
  • Relevant work experience in a dealership/warehouse position.
  • Further education in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Forklift license.
