Parts Advisor

About the role

Lithia & Driveway (NYSE: LAD) is hiring a Full-Time Parts Advisor at their dealership in Beaverton. The position is located at Dealership L0258 Buick GMC of Beaverton.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner in accordance with Incoming Telephone Call (ITC) standards.
• Communicate with customers and vendors by phone, in-person or email.
• Aid customers by answering questions, checking stock availability, and taking parts orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized appearance of counter, work area and stockroom.
• Work with the Service Team to coordinate parts for vehicle repair and service.
• Order parts from suppliers based on service department and customer requests.
• Create accurate invoices in ADP.
• Receive, unpack and store parts in appropriate storage areas so they are available when needed.
• Check quantity and condition of goods received against invoices and purchase orders.
• Check number and unit cost and total billing for charges against proper records.
• Take inventory, maintain records of goods received and keep perpetual inventory controls.
• Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
• Process core returns, parts warranties and parts returns.

Requirements

• Previous parts advisor experience, a bonus.
• Understand basic automotive components and systems.
• Automotive dealership service experience is a plus.
• Any automotive certifications are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication.
• Mathematics – calculations of inventory, payments and invoices.
• Knowledge of automotive parts.

$55,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience
