Parts & Accessories Specialist
Position Summary
Parts and accessories specialists are responsible for ensuring customers have access to the correct parts and accessories for their boating needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about delighting customers and achieving or exceeding their volume and profit goals through assisting customers in their buying decisions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid customers in identifying the correct parts and accessories for their boats, providing information on product features, compatibility, and pricing.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience, finalize transactions, and close sales with accurate paperwork, including suggesting additional accessories that benefit the customer.
- Maintain inventory of parts and accessories to ensure accuracy, control shrinkage, and prevent obsolescence.
- Manage product reordering to meet customer needs.
- Keep displays neat and orderly, merchandising accessories and supplies to enhance the professional appearance of the store.
- Process customer orders accurately, track order status, and ensure timely delivery or pickup of products.
- Maintain accurate records of orders and sales.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Analyze operations to find ways to increase efficiency, sales, and profitability of the parts department.
- Stay updated on products, industry trends, and innovations in marine parts and accessories.
- Support the store during boat shows, sales events, and other customer-facing activities, including accessory sales as needed.
Skills
- Knowledge of marine parts, accessories, and equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve customer inquiries.
- Ability to achieve or exceed revenue and profit goals.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Qualifications / Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional certifications or training in marine services is a plus.
- Previous experience in parts sales, marine service, or a related field is preferred.
