About The Role
Partnerships are a growing marketing channel for Happen Bank, connecting us with the largest personal finance websites and top brands to attract new borrowers and deliver real value to our members. As the Partner Marketing Manager, you'll help nurture existing partner relationships and support the onboarding of new partners, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You'll work across Marketing, Product, Credit Risk, Engineering, and Legal/Compliance to keep Happen Bank a competitive, best-in-class solution in the lending space.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management and ongoing optimization of partner relationships, including planning, execution, and performance tracking
- Partner cross-functionally to improve the end-to-end borrower experience, reducing friction and strengthening conversion
- Support the onboarding and launch of new integrations and campaigns with new and existing partners, coordinating across teams to bring initiatives to market efficiently
- Build and deliver clear, transparent reporting on performance, project status, insights, and opportunities to internal and external stakeholders
- Use AI tools to accelerate reporting, data analysis, and content development, applying judgment about where human review still matters
- Identify opportunities to test, learn, and improve partner performance while balancing business goals with a strong member experience
- Flag risks or blockers early and work with stakeholders to resolve them
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in partnerships, business development, marketing, or a related field; bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in building lasting partnerships
- Comfortable working with data to generate insights and inform recommendations
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to evolving needs
- Effective communicator who is comfortable presenting ideas and updates to a range of stakeholders
- Self-directed and proactive, while also embracing teamwork and shared success across teams
- You actively look for ways AI can improve your work, from accelerating analysis to approaching problems from a different angle, while staying thoughtful about accuracy, data sensitivity, and where editorial or human judgment still belongs
- You're bringing ideas for how the team can work more effectively, including where AI-generated content needs a human check for brand and compliance
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services or lending
- Familiarity with affiliate, lead-gen, or partnership marketing models
- Experience using AI-powered reporting or analytics tools in a marketing context
Work Location
San Francisco. The role utilizes a hybrid work model, with in-office attendance required Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered.

Time Zone Requirements
Local hours (PT). While the position will primarily work local hours, flexibility to work across time zones when necessary is ideal.
Travel Requirements
As needed travel to Happen Bank offices and/or other locations.
Pay
The target base salary range for this position is $115,000–$141,000. The base salary will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. You may also be eligible for long-term awards (equity) and an annual bonus (based on company performance, employee performance, and eligible earnings).
