About the role

The Partner role at Aprio is a leadership position responsible for leading client engagements, expanding market presence, developing and mentoring talent, and contributing to the firm’s long-term strategic direction. Partners act as stewards of the Aprio brand, delivering excellence in client service while driving revenue growth, operational effectiveness, and cross-firm collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Client Leadership & Service Delivery
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering high-value strategic, technical, and operational guidance.
    • Provide executive oversight on complex engagements to ensure quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging business needs that impact client operations.
    • Drive exceptional client experiences aligned with Aprio’s service standards.
  • Business Development & Growth
    • Develop and execute growth plans that expand Aprio’s market presence in designated practice areas or industry niches.
    • Build and maintain strong referral networks, strategic partnerships, and market relationships.
    • Identify new opportunities for service expansion, innovative offerings, and cross-firm synergies.
    • Represent Aprio internally and externally as a leader committed to firm culture and values.
  • Talent Development & Team Leadership
    • Recruit, mentor, and develop top talent within the practice area.
    • Lead engagement teams by modeling accountability, collaboration, and advocacy for employee growth.
    • Provide performance oversight, career coaching, and succession planning support.
    • Foster a diverse, inclusive, high-trust environment that enables teams to excel.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience with demonstrated track record of leadership within a professional services firm.
  • Strong technical expertise and active CPA in the relevant discipline (Nonprofit Audit).
  • Proven success driving revenue growth, client expansion, and practice development.
  • Reputation for exceptional client service, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, inspire, and build high-performing teams.
  • High ethical standards.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience operating in high-growth, multi-location, or national firm environments.
  • Prior partner or executive leadership experience.
