About the role
The Partner role at Aprio is a leadership position responsible for leading client engagements, expanding market presence, developing and mentoring talent, and contributing to the firm’s long-term strategic direction. Partners act as stewards of the Aprio brand, delivering excellence in client service while driving revenue growth, operational effectiveness, and cross-firm collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Client Leadership & Service Delivery
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering high-value strategic, technical, and operational guidance.
- Provide executive oversight on complex engagements to ensure quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging business needs that impact client operations.
- Drive exceptional client experiences aligned with Aprio’s service standards.
- Business Development & Growth
- Develop and execute growth plans that expand Aprio’s market presence in designated practice areas or industry niches.
- Build and maintain strong referral networks, strategic partnerships, and market relationships.
- Identify new opportunities for service expansion, innovative offerings, and cross-firm synergies.
- Represent Aprio internally and externally as a leader committed to firm culture and values.
- Talent Development & Team Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and develop top talent within the practice area.
- Lead engagement teams by modeling accountability, collaboration, and advocacy for employee growth.
- Provide performance oversight, career coaching, and succession planning support.
- Foster a diverse, inclusive, high-trust environment that enables teams to excel.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience with demonstrated track record of leadership within a professional services firm.
- Strong technical expertise and active CPA in the relevant discipline (Nonprofit Audit).
- Proven success driving revenue growth, client expansion, and practice development.
- Reputation for exceptional client service, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, inspire, and build high-performing teams.
- High ethical standards.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Experience operating in high-growth, multi-location, or national firm environments.
- Prior partner or executive leadership experience.
