Part-Time Youth Soccer Coach in the East Bay (Oakland through Hayward)

About the role

Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate part-time Youth Soccer Coach to serve children ages 2-8. You’ll laugh, break a sweat, and go home knowing you made a difference. Coaching our kids will be one of the most rewarding experiences you ever do.

Location: Oakland, Alameda, San Lorenzo, San Leandro, Castro Valley, and Hayward. Local candidates only (no work status or visa sponsorship available).

Schedule

• Part-time: 15 hours per week
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm and Saturday–Sunday, 9am–12pm
• Must be available to work one weekend day
• Full ten-week commitment required to take on a lead role
• Flexible scheduling with opportunities to change availability seasonally (winter/spring/summer/fall)

Pay

• Training rate: $22/hour
• After training: $25/hour (including admin and setup/breakdown time)
• Advancement opportunities can increase pay up to $35/hour

Responsibilities

• Bring “Soccer Island” alive with enthusiasm and creativity
• Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down
• Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling
• Utilize Soccer Shots’ expert-created curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers

Requirements

• Genuine passion for children and sports

• Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills

• No experience required; paid comprehensive training program provided
