Part-Time Youth Soccer Coach in Castro Valley and San Leandro

About the Role

Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate part-time Youth Soccer Coach to serve children ages 2-8. You’ll laugh, break a sweat, and go home knowing you made a difference. Coaching our kids will be one of the most rewarding experiences you’ll have.

Location: Castro Valley and San Leandro. Local candidates only (no work status or visa sponsorship available).

Schedule

• Part-time or full-time hours between Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, and Saturday–Sunday 9am–12pm.
• Must be available to work one weekend day.
• Flexible scheduling with opportunities to change availability each season (winter/spring/summer/fall).
• Mornings, afternoons, and evenings are optional Monday–Friday; Saturday mornings are required.
• A full ten-week commitment is required to take on a lead role.

Pay

• Training rate: $22/hour.
• After training: $25/hour (including admin and setup/breakdown time).
• Pay can reach up to $35/hour through advancement.
• Additional pay opportunities: mileage reimbursement, program growth incentive, perfect attendance reward, end-of-season bonus, coach referral incentive, parent feedback reward.

Responsibilities

• Bring “Soccer Island” alive with enthusiasm and creativity.
• Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down.
• Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling.
• Utilize Soccer Shots’ expert-created curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers.
