Responsibilities

  • Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile to ensure they feel welcomed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, determining their needs, recommending products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card.
  • Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards.
  • Create a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing.
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking.
  • Demonstrate product usage and retrieve products from heights greater than 6 ft.
  • Attend all required Scheels product training and store meetings.
  • Assist in training new associates in areas of the store's expertise.
  • Navigate a personal computer and handheld inventory computer/scanner (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Email/Docs, AS400).
  • Assist in all other duties assigned by the leadership team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1-3 months of sales experience (ideal but not required).
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
  • Adherence to all safety procedures to minimize the risk of injury.
