Part Time - Women's Basketball - Assistant Coach

About the role

Penn State Altoona, a public related institution, invites candidates for the job of Part-Time Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. The assistant coach reports to the head coach and is responsible for assisting in the management of all aspects of the basketball program.

Responsibilities

• Coaching in games
• Recruitment of student athletes
• Practice sessions
• Assisting with team fundraising
• Team travel

Requirements and qualifications

• A demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate, and develop Division III student-athletes
• Knowledge of the sport and a verifiable ability to teach both fundamentals and strategies of the sport
• Commitment to high academic standards and the NCAA Division III philosophy
• Reputation for integrity
• Well versed in the sport and have previous coaching or instructing experience

Penn State Altoona is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC).

This is a part-time position.
