Part Time Weekend Retail & Warehouse Associate

About the role

Join our Oak Brook team as a hands-on Part Time Retail & Warehouse Associate, combining working with furniture and creating an exceptional customer experience. This active role involves approximately 70% of your time handling and merchandising furniture and 30% assisting customers.

Location: 2525 West 22nd Street, Oak Brook, IL 60523

Schedule

Saturdays & Sundays, 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with one weekend off each month.

Responsibilities

• Stay active and work hands-on with furniture, spending most of your shift moving, lifting, wrapping, staging, and arranging furniture and accessories throughout our 8,000-square-foot space.
• Create a great customer experience by welcoming customers, answering product questions, and helping them find pieces they love while keeping furniture organized and well-presented.
• Work safely and collaboratively with teammates to handle furniture, use appropriate equipment, and maintain a smoothly running space.
• Embrace processes, accuracy, and technology with attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to learn systems while improving efficiency.
• Contribute to a welcoming environment for both customers and staff by working collaboratively and pitching in where needed.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in retail, customer service, warehouse, merchandising, or another fast-paced environment.
• Strength and stamina to regularly lift and move up to 75 pounds and safely handle heavier furniture with a teammate or appropriate equipment.
• Comfort spending most of your shift standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving furniture.
• Understanding of safe working practices and the importance of safely and efficiently handling furniture.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire.

Pay

Salary: $18.50 per hour
