Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to join their healthcare security team in Bangor, ME. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Frequent standing and walking throughout patient care areas.
• Constant mobility, transitioning between rooms, units, and equipment.
• Lifting and patient assistance, as needed.
• Responding to potential physical altercations using de-escalation techniques.
• Exposure to clinical conditions such as noise, varying activity levels, bodily fluids, and the need for personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises, enforcing regulations, and providing customer service.

Requirements

• A valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• Strong customer service skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years old.
