About the role

Jovie is hiring experienced, engaging caregivers to provide in-home care for children of all ages with local families throughout the Minneapolis area. This is a great opportunity for childcare professionals seeking a rewarding part-time babysitting job with weekend hours, supportive leadership, and opportunities for growth.

Pay: $16.50–$18/hour

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, nurturing care for children
• Support feeding, naps, and daily routines
• Encourage learning through reading, play, and age-appropriate activities
• Communicate with parents about their child’s day
• Create a positive environment where children can learn and grow

Schedule

• Evenings and weekends
• Most shifts occur between 4:00 pm–12:00 am
• Work at least 2 shifts per week
• Work with vetted local families

Requirements

• At least 2 years of childcare experience (nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, or other childcare settings)
• Love working with children of all ages
• Dependable and professional
• Strong communication with parents and children
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• At least two childcare-related references plus one character reference
• Minimum age of 17.5 years
