About the role
We are seeking a full-time Part-Time Material Handler (2nd Shift: M-F 5pm - 9pm) at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, input data, process shipping, consumer and retail returns, track orders and other inventory movement
- Rebox units for return to stock
- Rework/repair product with accuracy while maintaining a safe and clean warehouse work environment
- Flex within warehouse functions including Raw Materials, Reverse Logistics and Finished Goods
- Absorb inventory, transactions, and material movement
- Pull/audit material as required for KANBAN, shop order, move order or sales order requirements
- Issue/transact material requested through material withdrawal forms
- Receive, transact, and sort inbound material
- Replenish material into primary picking locations
- Ensure FIFO and LIFO policies are adhered to as defined in departmental procedures
- Follow ESD guidelines for static sensitive materials if applicable
- Pack materials to ensure adequate delivery to internal/external customers
- Perform cycle counts as required
- Operate RF device to transact and move material
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment
- Meet quality/productivity metrics
- Accept responsibility for work assignments and job duties and be held accountable for their successful completion
- Work variable and flexible hours including overtime
- Comply with Garmin’s Attendance Policy
- Operate one or two pieces of powered industrial equipment safely/efficiently such as a dock stocker or powered pallet jack depending on departmental responsibilities
- Maintain physical fitness to perform bending, twisting, and lifting up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift, and walking long distances throughout the facility
- Visualize minor cosmetic imperfections and defects on Garmin products
- Adhere to cleanliness zone area requirements: wear Garmin provided personal protective equipment including SD shoes (Static Dissipative Footwear) to minimize the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift, and walking long distances throughout the facility
- Demonstrated computer proficiency
- Ability to use RF Scanner
- Previous warehouse or related experience
- Database experience including Microsoft Excel and Access
- Previous Oracle Experience
