Part-Time Veterinary Assistant
About the role
Mill Creek Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent position for candidates with foundational training who are looking to grow their career in veterinary medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians, including gentle animal handling and restraint during outpatient procedures such as physical exams, vaccines, and blood draws.
- Prepare and clean patient areas throughout the day including exam rooms and procedural/treatment areas, anticipating team needs and ensuring preparedness and efficiency.
Requirements
- 1+ years of veterinary assistant experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Patient restraint
- Client communication
- Oral medication administration
- Medical note taking
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR certification

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
Compensation: $17.13-18.00 per hour, for each hour worked*
Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current experience
Schedule
This is a part-time position, with a 3/10 schedule and availability needed Monday, Wednesday, Friday. No Weekends!
