What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform spay and neuter surgeries 30-35 (high-quality, efficient techniques encouraged)
  • Conduct physical exams and diagnose medical conditions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Perform small animal soft tissue surgeries (mentorship available)
  • Provide preventive and wellness care
  • Educate clients on treatment options and preventive health
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with California regulations

Requirements

  • Qualifications:
    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited program
    • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of California
    • Ability to obtain a DEA certificate
    • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary medical experience, including 1 year of surgical experience in spay/neutering
    • Passion for accessible veterinary care
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
