Responsibilities
Exhibits and mentors the scholar-athletes in good sportsmanship and fair play.
- Attends league meetings and completes all required trainings/certifications.
- Attends mandatory coaches' meetings and trainings.
- Attends pre-season Athletics meetings (in the evening) with scholar-athletes and parents/guardians.
- Makes sure the scholar-athletes are safe by checking the playing area and equipment before each practice and game/competition.
- Prevents injuries through thoughtful, balanced workouts.
- Instructs scholar-athletes in the basic rules and fundamentals of the sport.
- Aids in implementing training programs for the Athletic Development Program.
- Implements athlete registration and evaluations and maintains the evaluation database.
- Sends weekly communication email to scholar-athletes and their parents/guardians with a look ahead to the coming 1-2 weeks (practices and games), objectives for that week, and any other pertinent information.
- Communicates regularly with scholar-athletes, parents/guardians, and the Athletics Department to ensure a positive experience for all scholar-athletes/the team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Three years minimum of related experience is preferred

Benefits
This is a seasonal part-time position, working approximately 15-20 hours per week of practices and games and approximately 2-3 hours per week of administrative tasks. It is not eligible for benefits. This position is paid hourly at $25-$45 per hour, Season key dates: practices start on August 7, 2026, with potential postseason on November 6, 2026, and beyond. The recruitment period will remain open until sufficient resumes have been received and may close at any time a sufficient pool of highly qualified candidates has been established. The ideal start date for this position is August 7, 2026.
