Part Time Vaccinating Pharmacist
About the role
Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to ensure the customer's return visit. Responsibilities
- Commitment to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
- Be professional, maintain a positive attitude, and communicate effectively with customers or on social media.
- Administer immunizations to customers following Kroger's standing orders and procedures.
- Successfully complete clinical services according to relevant case loads.
- Dispense medications to customers according to prescriptions, adhering to laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
- Compound medications using standard formulas and processes, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
- Verify new medications against existing profiles to avoid drug or drug-disease interactions before filling prescriptions.
- Support special promotions with the Pharmacy Manager and engage the pharmacy team to manage appropriate day supplies.
- Follow protocols on recalls and adhere to all state and federal laws regarding licensing and drug disposal.
- Work to prevent and report any incidents of robbery, theft, or fraud.
- Support preventative maintenance by inspecting and repairing equipment.
- Report all accidents promptly to management.
- Adjust personal schedule to cover open shifts as needed.
- Communicate information affecting the department or job functions to colleagues.
- Comply with company policies, union contracts, and legal requirements, including HIPAA, Medicare, and DEA procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance organizational goals and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Minimum Position Qualifications: Licensed Pharmacist in good standing, Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong planning and organizational abilities, high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Desired: Previous management experience, pharmacy experience, retail experience.
