About the role
The Urology Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) – Telehealth will provide high-quality, patient-centered care through virtual visits in support of urology services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct telehealth visits for follow-up care and clinical evaluation
- Assess patient concerns and determine the need for in-person visits or additional testing
- Manage medication refill requests and related clinical follow-up
- Review patient history, symptoms, and available diagnostic information to guide care decisions
- Provide patient education and counseling related to ongoing urologic care
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative teams to ensure coordinated care
- Document all encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies

Qualifications
- Education, Certification, and/or Licensure: Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with master’s degree in nursing. National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers. Licensure; or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia. American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
- Experience: Clinical/surgical urology experience preferred. Eligible new graduates will be considered.
