About the role
VetUrgency, a BluePearl Veterinary Partners hospital, in Frederick, MD is hiring a part-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to work in our well-equipped facility with our experienced and skilled support staff.
Responsibilities
- Work in our well-equipped facility with our experienced and skilled support staff.
- Available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, 6pm-12am.
- Routine Sunday shift also open for discussion, but not required.
- VetUrgency aims to provide quality, compassionate, timely veterinary care on evenings and weekends.
- With a patient care model designed to reduce the stress, time, and cost associated with regular ER hospitals while still providing an uncompromising standard of care.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree required.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Maryland required.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments confidently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- No inherited caseload or complicated patients waiting for you when you walk in the door.
- Experienced RVTs and Advanced Patient Care Associates on EVERY shift.

- We utilize cloud-based software platforms, digital radiology, ultrasound, a full on-site lab and other specialty-level equipment.
- The ability to consult with Boarded Surgeons, Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Veterinarians, in our shared space as needed, plus free on-demand tele-consultations with Boarded Criticalists through the BluePearl network nationwide.
