ASU-Beebe Upward Bound program is seeking part-time teachers in English, Math, and Science to support high school student success during a 5-week summer session from June 1st to July 2nd.
About the Role
The teacher will collaborate with the Assistant Director and Academic Coordinator/Outreach Specialist to develop and deliver lesson plans, manage classroom activities, and assess student progress to meet learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans
- Provide academic support and assistance to students
- Manage classroom environment and student behavior
- Administer assessments to evaluate student progress
- Communicate student needs with the Academic Coordinator/Outreach Specialist and Assistant Director
- Teach ACT preparation, life skills, and career assessment sessions
Requirements
- Associate degree in the subject area (English, Math, or Science)
Pay
$800 per section for non-lab classes; $1,000 per section for lab classes.
A criminal background check is required for this position.
