Part Time Unarmed Security Officer
About the role
Walden Security is staffing for Security positions at a heavy manufacturing facility. Security Officers protect industrial and commercial client properties from fire, vandalism, and illegal entry, serving a diverse range of clients including office buildings, luxury residences, distilleries, Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, telecommunications, manufacturing/industrial factories, hospitals, and more. The role requires driving a company vehicle, tolerating outdoor elements (heat, cold, rain, snow), frequently entering and exiting the vehicle, and conducting patrols of parking lots, doors, back gates, and the factory premises, which involves a considerable amount of walking. Candidates will obtain an unarmed security license with the assistance of a Walden Security trainer and complete training during weekdays. A valid Tennessee driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and being at least 25 years old are required for coverage under Walden Security’s auto insurance policy.
Responsibilities
- Protect client property against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry
- Inspect parking lots, doors, back gates, and factory areas
- Operate a company vehicle and tolerate various weather conditions
- Enter and exit the vehicle in hot, cold, rainy, or snowy weather
- Perform extensive walking patrols as part of daily duties
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 25 years
- Valid Tennessee driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (no more than one moving violation, no DUI)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Obtain an unarmed security license (training provided by Walden Security)
