About the Role
As a Part-Time Tutor with Catapult Learning, you will provide contracted instructional services with expertise in reading, mathematics, and writing for students. You’ll serve as an advocate, difference maker, and mentor, guiding and empowering students to achieve their best.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods as determined by the Company.
- Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students.
- Communicate and conference with parents regarding student progress.
- Deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing using Company-designed materials.
- Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans.
- Ensure supervision of students, including escorting them safely to and from sessions.
- Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Attend and document meetings/training with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents.
- Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Non-licensed tutors: Associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution or at least two years of study (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours) at an accredited institution.
- Licensed tutors: Proper credentials recognized by the State of CT as a Properly Licensed Teacher.
- Completion of an FBI/BCI background check.
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
- Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Pay
Starting from USD $35.00 per hour.
Physical Requirements
- Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs.
- Most programs are conducted in school settings.
