Part Time Traveling Periodontics Assistant

Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Part Time Traveling Periodontics Assistant! At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we're seeking an energetic and motivated individual to positively impact our patients' oral health in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.

Schedule

• Monday: Bloomfield, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: Canton
• Thursday: Livonia, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

This position travels between our Canton, Livonia, and Bloomfield offices.

Responsibilities

• Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
• Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous dental assisting experience
• Some experience in Periodontics preferred
• Must be willing and able to travel between offices
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus

Requirements

Before applying, you must meet the following state requirements:

• Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
