The Position
This position is responsible for providing treatment to patients in Long-Term Care Facilities, working with the DDS, clinical staff, and facility staff. Dental Assistants assist the DDS with treatment, as well as working with their Clinical schedulers, and nursing staff to ensure the facilities' needs are being met. The position involves transporting, setting up, and taking down equipment and supplies in the designated work space by the facility. It also involves entering chart notes for treatment at the time of treatment, maintaining dental equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance routines, inventorying supplies and ordering as needed, and shipping and receiving denture cases from the lab on a daily basis.
Location
This position covers the home market which includes driving 20 minutes to 2.5 hours. You are paid for all drive time over 30 minutes each way. In addition, mileage reimbursement is paid for all miles driven. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Requirements
- 3-5 years clinical experience as a Chairside Dental Assistant required
- Valid Driver’s License with no moving violations in the last 5 years
- Willingness to travel 20 minutes to 2.5 hours
- Must have own reliable transportation
- X-ray certification is required
