Part-Time Travel CT Technologist

About the role

Operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images, prepare and position patients, ensure safety and image quality, and collaborate with radiologists. Maintain equipment, document procedures accurately, and follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure. Adapt to various CT equipment and protocols across healthcare settings. Provide compassionate patient care throughout imaging processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and set technical parameters for accurate imaging
• Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Deliver high-quality images for radiologist interpretation
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT systems
• Document patient information and imaging details accurately
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostics
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies
• Perform other duties within CT technologist scope as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum one year recent CT technologist experience
• Valid radiology license per state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Preferred ARRT certification
• Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, technical, and motor skills
• Effective communication and ability to work under pressure
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
