Looking for a short evening shift that fits around your life? WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring Part-Time Valet Porters across Phoenix, Maricopa County, and the East Valley area.

About the Role

Shifts run 1–2 hours per evening, Monday through Friday, starting around 7:30–8:00 PM. No experience is required, and training is provided. This posting is for an ongoing applicant pool; qualified applicants will be contacted when a suitable opening arises.

Responsibilities

  • Walk your assigned apartment community each evening and collect bagged trash, recycling, and cardboard from residents' doors.
  • Transport collected waste to the onsite dumpster, chute, or compactor.
  • Separate recycling, check for contamination, and clean up loose trash around common areas.
  • Check in and out through a mobile app, documenting your route, uploading photos, and leaving courtesy notices when needed.
  • Occasionally assist with pet waste station servicing.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday evenings only.
  • Typical start time is 7:30 or 8:00 PM, with shifts lasting 1–2 hours.
  • Shift length may vary slightly based on resident participation, property size, or seasonal factors.
  • No weekends required.
  • Home by 11 PM.

Pay

  • $20/hour at standard sites.
  • $25/hour at sites that require use of a personal open-bed pickup truck.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older with a valid Arizona driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Must have a smartphone with an active data plan and location services.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Must be reliable, professional, and self-motivated.
  • A personal open-bed pickup truck is required at select sites (pay increases to $25/hr at those locations).

Physical Requirements

  • Extensive walking throughout apartment communities.
  • Ascending and descending stairs at some properties.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
