About the role

Columbia State Community College is seeking qualified individuals to join our part-time Security Guard pool. Security Guards help maintain a safe and secure environment for students, employees, and visitors by supporting campus safety operations as needed. Department: Safety and Security. Position Type: Part-Time (Pool).

Responsibilities

• Monitoring campus facilities
• Patrolling grounds
• Responding to incidents
• Assisting with emergency procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond calmly in emergency situations

Qualifications

Prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule

Weekly hours will vary by assignment but will not exceed 29 hours per week. Work assignments, schedules, and location will vary based on departmental needs.
