The role of a Teller at Santander involves engaging in various financial needs and processing transactions. The primary responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, handling cash, recognizing opportunities for cross-selling, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming customers and minimizing wait times
  • Processing deposits, withdrawals, and transfers
  • Maintaining accurate cash drawer balances
  • Adhering to bank policies and procedures to prevent fraudulent situations
  • Identifying and escalating concerns of risk to appropriate channels
  • Using digital tools to educate customers on self-service options
  • Aiding in custodianship, audits, and other operational tasks
  • Supporting nearby branch locations based on business necessity

Qualifications

  • 6+ Months Cash Handling experience
  • 6+ Months Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Bilingual Portuguese and/or Spanish language skills (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others
  • Ability to identify and escalate concerns of risk to appropriate channels
  • Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Comfortable in using digital tools and technology to enhance customer engagement
  • Energetic, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer proficiency and basic math skills
  • Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings

What You Bring

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education
  • Preferred experience in Microsoft Office products

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $30,000.00 USD to $47,000.00 USD annually.

Schedule

Branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
