Part-Time Teller I

About the role

RCB Bank is seeking a customer service representative to provide excellent service while accurately and efficiently processing transactions in accordance with RCB Bank policies and procedures and within regulatory requirements. The role involves supporting branches across a specified region, filling gaps, and assisting locations experiencing increased transaction volume or temporary staff shortages.

Responsibilities

• Obtain customer identification, signatures, and any other necessary required information; record and process all transactions according to regulations, procedures, and established controls at any branch location assigned.
• Examine cash, checks, and other supporting documents to verify authenticity, identify potential fraud or suspicious activity, and to protect the Bank from financial/reputational loss; follow established escalation procedures when encountering unusual or irregular transactions.
• Balance cash drawer daily while adhering to branch-level controls; promptly research discrepancies and report any outages to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience
• Successful completion of teller essentials training program after hire

Qualifications

• Previous cash handling experience
• Previous float teller experience

Skills

• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co-workers
• Follow detailed procedures and maintain accuracy in changing environments
• Understand basic fraud indicators and are committed to proper escalation procedures
