Part-Time Teller I
About the role
Responsible for accurately processing financial transactions and being an effective source of information for our members: in lobby, drive-thru window or by telephone. Provides friendly, professional, confidential and effective assistance to members and company associates assuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time.
Responsibilities
- Perform teller transactions accurately and efficiently, including receiving and disbursing funds, posting financial transactions and loan payments, and verbally confirming all intended transactions with members.
- Process payments and deposits received by US mail, and disburse Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, and Credit Union Checks according to written procedures.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and pleasant working environment by maintaining a professional look and positive outlook.
- Research, troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices and products.
- Balance Cash Drawer daily and notify supervisor immediately of any outages or transaction errors.
Requirements
- Cash handling and customer service experience is strongly preferred.
- A high school degree or GED is required.
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
Qualifications
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and regularly lifting cash box of up to 15 lbs. and coin bags up to 50 lbs on occasion. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation and operating routine office equipment.
Pay
$15.93-$19.91 per hour.
