Part-Time Teacher

About the role

LearnWell is seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in White Plains, NY on a part-time basis for the 2026-27 school year. This unique position will involve working in fast-paced behavioral health facilities, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans
• Provide individualized assistance to students
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports

Requirements

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• New York State teaching license (required)
• Comfortable working with adolescent aged students
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
• Reliable transportation
