About the role
We are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Georgetown, TX on a part-time basis for a 12-month school year. This unique position involves working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment. You will plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress. Most class sizes range from 20-25 school-age patients at any one time.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily lesson plans tailored to student needs
- Provide individualized academic support to child and adolescent patients
- Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate attendance and session reports
- Communicate regularly about student progress as needed
Requirements
- B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
- Texas teaching license
- Comfortable working with K-12 students
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
- Reliable transportation
Schedule
20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
