The Position

As a swim instructor at British Swim School, you will teach students of all ages in accordance with the British Swim School aquatics program. You will be part of a team of fun-loving people that are serious about saving lives and having fun while doing it!

If you are not an expert swim instructor, that’s ok! No experience necessary! We can train anyone on how to teach the way we teach.

• You need to know how to swim.
• Ideally, you have an understanding of all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water.
• You've got to love working with children and seeing them progress.
• You need to have a positive attitude and be ready to enjoy having fun at work.
• This is a year-round position, and we are looking for longer-term employees. This is not a summer job.
• Be able to work weekend mornings (Saturday) from 8:30am-1:30pm.
• Be able to start weekdays at 3:30pm.
• Have reliable transportation.

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent, or in the process of completion.
• An enthusiastic personality.
• Comfortable in and around the water.
• Strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught and developed!
• Maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.
• Complete all required British Swim School Aquatics training and testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required.
• Customer service skills: 1 year preferred.
• Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training).

Compensation

$18.50 - $23.00 per hour
