Part Time Substitute Educator - Little Egg Harbor School District

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities: Prepare and lead structured fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages, aligning with program objectives.
• Lead by example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize safety and joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communication: Effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Meet New Jersey state requirements:
  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Proof of MMR vaccination.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Proof of High School diploma/GED.

Skills

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Pay

$16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, split shift:
  • Morning shift: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
  • Afternoon shift: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
• Up to 35 hours per week.
