Part Time Substitute Educator (Desert Sands)

About the role

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students across 17 states. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give parents peace of mind. As an Educator, you’ll help deliver dynamic daily curriculum and create a positive environment for children to learn, play, and grow.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain safety, well-being, and attention of all children.
• Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience working with children under 13 years of age in a group setting (preferred).
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR certification, Mandated Reporter training, and a health certificate with a negative TB test (from a physician).

Pay

$19 to $21 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–6:00 PM (part-time or on-call schedule depending on program needs).
