Part Time Substitute Educator (Desert Sands)

About the Role

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give parents peace of mind. We serve more than 35,000 students in 17 states through after school, before school, and break camp programs.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children.
• Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience working with children under 13 years of age in a group setting (preferred).
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician).

• Works well in a team environment.

Pay

$19 to $21 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–6:00 PM (part-time or on-call schedule depending on program needs).
